Removal of all dry soil and dust is the most important thing that must be done before undertaking any cleaning procedure involving water. Vacuuming an area rug is beneficial, but is just not thorough enough. Our patented air-dusting equipment will remove several pounds of dry particulate soil and loose fibre. We have air dusted area rugs after they have been cleaned by a truck mounted steam cleaning unit, which is very powerful. The air dusting allows the colours in the area rug to come alive and the amount of dust removed is amazing, even after being “cleaned”. To believe the result of this process it must be seen. Conventional cleaning methods are just not able to clean hand woven treasures properly and thoroughly. This procedure may take 30-60 minutes to complete. Once this is complete we begin a 24 hour dye-bleed test to ensure that each colour of your rug is stable and will not run during washing or drying. Now we move on to washing.
